Our Basement |

Hi
Everyone, It's so nice having the basement finished! Jan and I were very
pleased with the final product. It took approximately 3 months. Our fun
started November 1st, 2002. Personally, I enjoyed every phase of the
project. It's nice not having deadlines or a job to contend with when you
are doing something like this. Consequently, this actually encouraged us
to set deadlines that I 'wanted' to meet... if that makes sense. Doing the
trim was my favorite part. I enjoyed learning some of the tricks of the
trade. Framing was fun too (I kind of felt like Tim Taylor on Tool Time), but I can't imagine doing it without an air hammer. The same thing
goes for the trim. I shot a little over 1,200 full sized framing nails and
nearly 800 finishing nails... counting the nails you use on a power nailer
is practically done for you, because you load 50 at a time.
